ok, so the last couple of days, my sub has randomly just shut off for a few secs, or a couple songs, and then come back on, well now its off for good and wont work, the amp power is running, and theirs no trouble light on the amp, so wtf? lol. Im running an alpine type "e" 350w RMS and a profile 1000 that pushes 310w at 4ohms. i dont really get it, did my amp go bad? if it did then whys their no trouble light? i tried hooking up my other speaker but nothing still, i also tried instead of using the HU's sub output, using the converter it came with and hooking the power from the left and right speakers to the amp, and still nothing. i also hooked the wires from my normal speakers straight to the sub, but theirs not enough wattage to push it at all lol. if anyone has any suggestions leme know k. im hoping its not my amp, it never runs hot, and the wattage is perfect for the sub so argh lol. this isnt the only place im posting this tho. so hopefully i get an answer somewhere. this is driving me crazy, is their anything i can do to test if my amp is working, or getting input even?



p.s. so it ended up being both my subs were bad, so my friend let me borrow a kicker, and that hits harder than my alpine did lol.

anybody lol. my amp has a warranty, but i dont want to send it in if its not the problem. and their doesnt seem to be anything wrong inside it ( ya i pulle dit apart, but their were no tags or any tamperproof things so you cant tell i did) ima hook it back up and see agian tho, double check eveything, agian, lol.

Take it to a reputable shop that can test it. I've done it before. I had a similar problem and found out my 4 channel was blown.

get a meter and test it yourself easy

You know when I first had my system installed, my amp blew 2 speakrs, apparently the amp was too strong for the subs even though they were supposed to work (wattage wise). I ended up getting a speaker that could handle a bit more power, more than the amp could put out and it actually worked pretty good. The person that installed it is an expert installer so it's not like I tried to do it myself, luckily it happened when he installed them and not afterwards.

lol, ill get a speaker over my amp then when i get some money, my amp putts out 310, and the alpine was rated at 350 so i duno lol. we'll see ho wlong my friends kicker lasts, haha
