PostSubject: HID help, problem   Wed Aug 05, 2009 5:33 am

hey guys, i bought my HID's at the show on sat, christian helped me install em, and i love me, buuuttt, tonight, randomly, my draver side decided not to power on after sitting for like 10 mins at my friends house. i checked all the wires, and the bulb, it looked fine, but i figured it somehow burnt out, the ballast doesnt buzz at all either. so i drive home, and on my dirt road i kind ahit a bump and whooom, it powers on. so when i got home i left em on, and jiggled wires, but nothing happened, (the ballast is buzzing now), so i turned em off, let em sit about 30 secs, then turned em on, and the driver side agian didnt power on, is my ballast bad, or is the my headlight wire thingy not giving signal to the ballast? ima check it tommarrow with a test light, but comments?

btw, hitting the ballast with my hand didnt so sh*t when it was on or off haha

I bet it is the ballast. I just had a ballast go bad. Are you using the relay wiring with it? If not I would suggest that for sure. It helps keep the current off the stock wiring.

kirby said it comes with the warranty lol. so ya, i deduced its a fualty ballast, it has power going to it, but none out, and i tried swapping it to the other side and it wouldnt work over there either. so im guessing bad ballast, bummer! lol

Mad I don’t know what to say man. We’ve sold few hundred in a few months and the distributor has sold thousands in 6 months and less than 10 have been warranty issues. So, I can take this 1 more compared to the thousands sold and no issues. Do some homework and know what you are talking about before you bash our stuff.
