Whats hydrolocking? yesterday i went down to El Centro, it was a horrible ride, i was avoiding all types of puddles, but glad i made it back safe.

Hydrolock is when you suck water into your engine and seize it via cai. But the way the trd on is set up you're safer then any of us that are running straight filter.

Like pas said, hydrolock is when water gets sucked into the motor and seizes it up.

ya hydro lock usually bends a rod or worst case, shoves a rod out the side of your block, ive seen both, it isnt pretty.

Well mine didnt technically hydrolock. I did suck water into the engine but it burnt out a sensor which seized my motor before it bent any rods or did any real damage. And I lucked out because Wookie got it covered under my warranty because he worked in the service department at the Scion dealer. I was suuuuuuuuuuuper lucky.

soooo speaking of water related car crap. i'm not for sure if that's what it is, but one of my HIDs went out yesterday. I messed around with it and found that when i unpluged and repluged the connection that goes from the power pack to the actual light it came back on. it's supposed to be air tight judging by the rubber stoppers in the plugs, but i think water got in it and is causing it to short out. has this ever happended to anyone?

Sounds to me it either got shorted or too hot gonna need a replacement ballast stat

that's what i thought it's holdin up and doesn't seem to get too hot, so i'm thinkin it was a short.

Sounds like the ballast to me. One of Heidis did that and it was the ballast that was bad.

tested it, it was the bulb . imma pick up some new ones. better that than the ballast.
